THE PHILOSOPHY
Movement & Yoga,
through my lens.
For me, wellbeing is not one-dimensional. Our physical health, thoughts, emotions and nourishment all influence how we experience everyday life.
It started with an assignment.
By profession, I work in HR—supporting people, guiding teams and helping create environments where individuals can grow. Movement & Yoga extends that same purpose beyond the workplace.
The idea began while I was completing an assignment for an Online Yoga Teaching Course. Somewhere between “complete the assignment” and “submit the assignment,” I wondered: Why stop at an assignment? Why not actually build it? 🙂
That thought became Movement & Yoga. I’m also grateful to Saurabh Bothra, founder of Habuild, whose work and philosophy around consistency have had a meaningful influence on my journey.
For me, the aim is practical: bring the different pieces of wellbeing together in a way we can return to consistently—without chasing perfection.
ON THE MAT
What do you want your body to keep allowing you to do?
You don’t need fancy poses—or a 105°F room—to prove you had a good workout. 🙂 I care much more about the movements that make everyday life feel easier.
Classes combine simple, mindful and sometimes repetitive movement with connected yoga flows to work on strength, mobility, flexibility, stability, balance and posture awareness.
The goal isn’t to perform the perfect pose.
The goal is to build a body you can rely on in everyday life.
OFF THE MAT
What happens during the other 23 hours?
If yoga only exists for the hour we spend on a mat, we miss much of what the practice can invite us to notice.
Yoga philosophy itself reminds us that asana is only one part of the practice. In the eight limbs of yoga, Yama and Niyama come before Asana—bringing attention to how we live, think, respond and relate to ourselves and others.
Through guided self-reflection, I encourage students to carry one small observation from class into everyday life—not as another task to complete, but as an opportunity to become more aware of our thoughts, emotions and responses.
This is the work-IN that complements the workout.
NOURISHMENT
What we give the body as fuel matters too.
We ask our bodies to move, think, work, recover and carry us through every single day. My personal philosophy is simple: choose wholesome food, eat mindfully and keep nourishment uncomplicated.
I follow a Jain and plant-based approach, with an emphasis on food prepared with minimal violence, appropriate portions and mindful timing.
It isn’t about chasing the latest diet trend. It is about developing a more conscious relationship with what we eat, how much we eat and why we eat—as another part of sustainable wellbeing.
PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
That is Movement & Yoga
through my lens. 🌿
Not perfection. Practice. Consistency. Awareness.
